We noticed that the big tuition companies were lacking one thing. Their students lacked a deep, conceptual understanding, and were simply rote learning information.
We started Accelerate HSC because we wanted to create rigorous Physics education forged on first principles. Very simply: we hate rote learning. Many students don't achieve their maximum potential because their first principles were taught poorly.
If you want to make an academic comeback, top the grade, even get a state-rank, you can't get away with just rote learning. To get top marks, it all boils down to the clarity in your logic shown in your exam responses. And all logical statements are based on first principles.
Our goal with Accelerate HSC is very simple. We go hard on first principles so that you can forget about rote learning. And this changes the way you think and cultivates critical thinking, so that you are prepared to respond in a logical manner in exams (rather than regurgitating rote information).

Germain (the dude behind Accelerate HSC) is a Christian who attends and serves in his local church. Accelerate HSC upholds Christian ethics of honesty, integrity, and hospitality towards people of every faith and belief. Generosity is also a big part of this business.
In the past term, our profits were donated to:

> Mission organisation in Myanmar and Slovenia
> Forbes Anglican Church
One of the reasons why our tutors choose to go into medicine and engineering was because of their passion for the sciences. We want to impart that same passion and help students appreciate and enjoy studying physics.
We hope that students might:
> Have breadth and depth in their knowledge
> Have a glimpse of university science
> Gain an appreciation of science
Ultimately, students who have a real passion for the subjects they study tend to perform better in the HSC!
We believe tutoring extends beyond academics. From our experience, the most influential tutors are not only teachers, but mentors. We emulate this in our pursuit of a holistic education which means that our tutors:
A. Regularly have 1-on-1 conversations with students to emphasise personal development and student wellbeing.
B. Deliver workshops on university entry (eg. UCAT and medical school interviews)
C. Provide students with a glimpse of life beyond high school.
D. Foster a student community so that students can learn, teach and encourage each other
